The Team

Two desks,
one programme.

The Mandate Lead and the Quantitative and Technical Lead work in parallel against one written programme, so a principal sees one team and one plan rather than two opinions.

Desk 01

Mandate Lead

Runs the fund-formation workstream end to end and leads the institutional investor engagement programme.

The Mandate Lead runs the fund-formation workstream end to end: positioning the proposition, building the investor narrative, coordinating counsel and administrators, and moving mandates from term sheet to first close. The Lead also runs the institutional investor engagement programme, opening doors with the allocators, DFIs, and gatekeepers a new platform needs in its corner.

The work sits at the seam between the principal's intent and the specialists who have to deliver it. Family offices, investment platforms, and growth ventures come to Vereles to translate ambitious ideas into structured, investable, and operationally credible businesses.

The discipline behind the work is plain: written mandates, named stakeholders, agreed timelines, and a single point of accountability. The desk treats the four as a system rather than a checklist, and the engagements that move fastest are the ones where the principal team agrees to them on day one.

Focus
  • Fund-formation coordination across counsel, administrators, and the principal team
  • Investor proposition, narrative, and institutional investor engagement
  • Governance design, IC setup, and stakeholder alignment
  • Mandate structuring, capital architecture, and the path to first close
  • Strategic partnerships and cross-functional execution across specialists

Desk 02

Quantitative and Technical Lead

Owns the analytical layer: models, screening, IC documentation, and the operating systems the office runs on.

The Quantitative and Technical Lead owns the analytical layer of a Vereles mandate: the screening logic, the deal and opportunity models, the IC documentation, and the dashboards that survive personnel change. The Lead pairs business fluency with engineering depth so complex objectives become systems the office can actually run.

The work spans the full delivery lifecycle: requirements and architecture through development, deployment, and operation, across web platforms, AI and automation, data infrastructure, and on-chain smart contracts. The same engineering discipline carries into systematic trading and portfolio management on retained mandates.

Where regulated execution is required, the Lead hands the trade to an authorised intermediary and keeps the audit trail intact. The hand-off is the point: the office keeps the analytical edge without taking on regulatory weight it has not been set up to carry.

Focus
  • Investment models, deal and opportunity screening, IC documentation
  • Operating systems, dashboards, and decision trails for the office
  • Quantitative frameworks and systematic execution design
  • Automation, integrations, and custody-facing data infrastructure
